Did you know that Applebees has kid's night? Did you also know that up to four children can eat for 99 cents each with the purchase of one adult entree?

Now you do.

Being a lonely old woman with a husband who travels and lacking the desire to feed my children cereal again, I decided it would be so much fun to pack up my kiddos and attempt to take advantage of this lovely offer.

Two bathroom trips,
one drained ketchup bottle,
one colored on wall,
two kids with hands down their pants,
one little finger stuck in a plastic lid, accompanied by tears, of course,
several attempts to use a bench as a trampoline and
only four requests for dessert later,
we waltzed out of that restaurant feeling pretty proud of ourselves.
Take that, Applebees!
