Thanksgiving

Ooooh Thanksgiving. Love it.
We packed up the boys Wednesday night and slept David's sister's house. She is quite the hostess, let me tell you. She catered to all our many needs with a smile. The food was fabulous. Everybody busted their bums to get it on the table.

She cooked a turkey, a ham and a prime rib. My personal favorite? The green bean salad. Bacon, shallots, almonds tossed with those tiny green beans from France...my stomach aches just thinking about all the glorious food. Dessert was equally amazing. Pecan pie with warm whiskey sauce ( the jokes about limiting the sauce were in full force), apple, pumpkin, blueberry ( the crust was ridiculously good), and coconut pie were only the beginning of sweets offered. Grandma made her famous rolls and the stuffing was out of this world. I could cry. The best part? All that beautiful family together and enjoying one another and laughing (no, not because of the whiskey cream sauce).

Even Jenn flew up with her very nice boyfriend, Luther all the way from California.

Cousin Seth's step son fit right in with my boys...except he doesn't choke people.

Brody made himself at home, as he always does.

Grandma won the popularity contest.

Jenn and I labeled every single food item. Just in case.

Rachelle had the day off, after years of working through the holiday. It was so great to see her.
Thanks so much to JoAnn and Nels for having us and for providing your house!
