As you can see, we've been doing a little bit of camping. The boys have had a blast swimming, shooting arrows, spending time with friends and just getting dirty.
Our most recent adventure was the highlight.
Our most recent adventure was the highlight.
There was a church campout last weekend, and I couldn't justify doing all the packing and only staying overnight, so I took the boys up on my own and David came up the second night.
It was so fun!
The first night was the best.
We all played and had fun and threw ourselves to sleep when about four a.m. a huge crack of thunder and then lightening woke them all up and sent them tiptoeing into my bed.
We all lay there as the rain poured down and the sky lit up the windows of the tent trailer.
An alarm sounded for what seemed like a half hour and frightened Isaac and Jackson into believing there was a forest fire outside our comfortable little nest of boys.
( it was only to warn the boy scouts in a nearby campground of danger)
Brody curled is sweaty little head next to mine and sucked his finger until he dozed happily, and Corbin slept like a baby the entire time,
despite the whimpering and flailing arms and legs of his older brothers.
Albeit smothered, I was delighted to have a new sweet memory to share with all my boys in my arms.
The howling wolves the next night were another story... ( Luckily, my boys didn't hear a thing!)
(My computer is wack right now, so hopefully,
I can upload the pictures in a few days after David takes a look.)
