Life's puzzling questions

Why, oh why does the toothpaste tube have to explode whenever my children go near it? I'm talkin' walls, hair, carpet, toilet seat, doorknob...and oh yeah, faces. This explains why my children's teeth are rotting out. I'm pretty sure there is no toothpaste that actually gets in their mouths. Let's not even discuss the other things that happen in the bathroom.
