we made a quick trip to Othello, Wa, David's hometown, on Saturday to visit with some old friends and check out the sandhill crane festival they host every spring. Strangely enough, it was held in David's old high school. It was kinda fun to see his old stomping grounds. I had to laugh when we were discussing if he had a clue as a teen that his wife and four children would be tromping those same halls.
