Ahh, yes, Corbin.
He makes us laugh, he makes us question our ability as parents,
but most of all, he makes us wonder what planet he came from.
Here are few tid bits for ya:

Corbin: Aunt JoAnn, I'm not your friend anymore.
Aunt JoAnn: Fine. Then I am not your friend either.
Corbin: Well...I am only not your friend- a little bit( concerned).
Aunt JoAnn: I wanted to be your friend, but you won't be mine.
Corbin: Okay, we can be friends all the time.
This morning we went to church.
Isaac explained to the family how a friend of the family, named Amy, is one of his new teachers.
He went on to point out that if the kids in her class were bad,
they had to sit in the
"corner of shame"
or if they were really bad,
they had to have their parents come in and sit
on their parents' "lap of shame".
We laughed about this and Corbin burst out to inform us that he was
not Amy's friend.
He even went to far to say that if she made him sit in the "lap of shame" when he grew up, be would beat her up.
Keep in mind that Amy owns the local gym and could beat up most anyone in town-she might even survive the worst Corbin could dish out.
We laughed and told him so.
He went on the say that if he couldn't beat her up,
he would pinch her "really hard".
David offered to drive to her home right away in order to let Corbin do so. Corbin quickly took his threat back-as expected.
Let this be a lesson to you all. Do not tell Corbin about the " lap of shame". He will beat you up and/or pinch you.
Next, our boy has a bit of a temper. He is three and wants to exert his independence on us all. When he is mad (which is 80% of the time) he wants everyone to know it. He thinks he is part animal and shows his teeth to strike fear in the hearts of all who see him. David and I were laughing at him today. He refused to cheer up and so we just asked him to
cover up his teeth,
at least.
Needless to say, he has made sure his teeth are showing all afternoon.cover up his teeth,
at least.
Love those teeth.
He had a tiny nutcracker in his stocking. For two days afterwards, he ran around the house making his nutcracker beg for peanuts with his tiny nutcracker mouth.
"Give me peanuts" will be the theme for Christmas 2009.
Upon this funny phase he has been going through, David and I agreed that this boy might turn out to be a handful when he gets older. He is smart enough to give us a run for our money. He is pointed out that he was a smarty pants. What do you mean? We asked.
He replied
" You have three smarty pants papers on your wall upstairs and that's why I'm a smarty pants too-just like you guys".
Mom and Dad: "Huh?"
Mom: " Do you mean our college diplomas upstairs, above the computer?"
Corbin " Yeah. Your smarty pants papers."
