On our way to McCall,( the last posted account) our heavily laden truck broke down. Not pretty. The temperatures were in the 90's and we didn't know what to do. As David gave it some thought, the nicest man came driving up on his four wheeler and invited us to come sit in his yard by the Salmon River. He and his wife offered us food, drink and a dip in their pool. They were a godsend. Literally. They loaned us their car ( which we reluctantly accepted), a very nice car, to be exact, and sent us on our way with a bag full of canned goods to eat while we camped. The whole event was kind of surreal. Who gives a perfect stranger their lexus? Anyway, we worked out all the details and the truck was fixed without too much trouble, and we returned their car the next day. Just a note-there are still good people in the world. I'm just hoping I will do the same if I am ever confronted with a family in need. It was quite a lesson for our kids as well.

That is an awesome story. It reaffirms that there are more good people in this world than we realize. :D
