David and I debated back and forth a bit about whether or not we needed a riding lawn mower
for our fairly large lawn,
and then it dawned on us...

unwritten rules of our special town that you are overlooking:
1. lawns require water. this is a real drain on our aquiphers.
2. mowers take gas. gas fuels terrorism and widens our ozone hole.
3. children should be spending their free time entering science fairs. not doing manual labor.
you may be asked to move if you don't just rip out that lawn and replace it with turf, gravel, or some other save-mother-earth type substance.
