Christmas day at my house

On Christmas day we all woke up refreshed and ready to celebrate the special occasion with one another.
There was no bickering, no dissapointment,
no hair out of place or evidence of sleeplessness
( despite waking up at three a.m.).
This is how the family looked as they climbed out of bed.

Brody was accidentally wacked in the nose by his brother with a hockey stick. He survived the ordeal bravely.
Here we see him holding on of his newly aquired presents.

Grandma Prestwich took time to spend with her adoring grandchildren over the holidays. They always said please and thank you
and used a tissue.

Here we have Corbin. During this momentus occasion, he was able to keep personal style his utmost priority.
He never failed to impress.

Every hair on these children's head was in place. Every hair.

The sweet darlings made every effort to keep their cool as they carefully unwrapped each shining new posession. Crack a smile and jump around gleefully for the camera?
Not these rock stars.

Grandmother Sears sent the boys some very intriguing forms of entertainment. They gratefully send their thanks.

The father of our home kept a stiff upper lip as he reminded the children of their luck at being born into a time and place where Christmas was even possible.
"After all," said he, " When I was a kid, Santa brought me a peanut
-and boy was I grateful!"

We were graced with many visitors on Christmas day.
David's sisters and their loved ones took it upon themselves to bring lots of goodies and presents to our home.
( Truly, we were so pleased to have them.)
Partly because they brought things like toys, money and party hats.
(Mostly because we love their company)

Mother was able to make Christmas a huge success with all her fabulous baking and spotless housekeeping. She even wakes on Christmas morn with a twinkle in her eye and love in her voice as her children patiently await her arrival before sweetly opening their packages. Her children are so happy to
bask in her glow
( as Jackson's facial expression shows).
