Yesterday was one crazy day. It consisted of the purchase of a new car, a bbq with some of the hockey player's families (along with trophy presentations), afancy schmancy chamber of commerce dinner for our city and a ridiculous mixture of my children and neighborhood children running around my yard spraying water, building forts and pitching tents in my front yard.

We've been searching for a little sedan for David to commute (the whole dreadful 15 minutes) to work with for ages now. Finally the perfect one came along! it'll help with mileage for our truck and van and the gas mileage is better and we got it for a steal. We are very pleased.

Just after we bought the car we ran off the the hockey bbq where the boys were awarded the highly valued participation trophy! it's a very prestigious award. They were both honored and delighted!

After an hour of shooing neighborhood kids home and cleaning up the water war mess,

we put our babysitter into place and headed off to a formal dinner with the city chamber of commerce where David's company bought a table. I attempted to come up with some fabulous excuses to back out ,as usual, but did so without success and consequently had a fun time.

All in all a good, busy day.
